I owe so much thanks to Marnie!  In college I developed unhealthy eating habits and had no sense of portion control.  As a result, my weight slowly crept upwards over the past 10 years.  Then after having two children the pounds really came on.  I was really unhappy with how I looked and felt, so when my friend told me about Marnie, I finally decided that I was going to start doing something about it.  Not only do you get a GREAT workout with Marnie, but she also teaches you about foods, portion size and how to speed up your metabolism.  Once I decided to commit to Marnie's workout plan, the weight literally just fell off.  I have so much more energy now and I love not having to worry about what clothes make me look fat-- now everything fits and my self confidence has really improved. Plus, now I feel like I am setting a good example with regards to food and excercise for my two daughters.  I want them to be able to look up to their mother as a role model for being healthy.  Thank you Marnie!

I started going to the Training Domain about one year ago.  I wanted and needed to lose weight and felt terrible, was tired all the time and just plain frustrated.  I was having joint pain and seeing a Rheumatologist for medical reasons.  I needed the accountability!  I was so excited to start working out and gain control of my body.

The first time I walked into Training Domain and met Marnie I felt so comfortable.  I have never felt intimidated while at the Training Domain.  Marnie sat with me and talked to me about my foods and how we would begin the workouts.  I knew I could do this after talking with her.  Marnie is amazing!  She is so encouraging every step of the way.

To date I have lost 40 pounds and gone down 4 sizes.
  I feel amazing!  I am proud of myself for accomplishing this goal and continuing to workout on my own.  I have even been released from my Rheumatologist!  I have done things I never thought I would ever accomplish.  I ran my first 5K in December 2009 (and I have never been a runner).  This August I am participating in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run.

It isn’t just about the physical aspect.  It is the mental aspect as well.   It is being in control, learning the workouts, learning about foods and having accountability.  It is being comfortable with your own surroundings.  I have met some amazing people and continue to work out with them.  Everybody is always there for you.

I can’t do this, I’ll start tomorrow, I’ll get my weight down with this “magic” pill. These are some of excuses that we ALL have used. My name is Scott and a year ago I start a fantastic journey in my life to find something I lost. Me. I weighed 335 pounds, I trained to lift 550 pounds off my chest, ate like horse and acted like an jack-ass. If you ask Marnie I still act like the last one still. We are working on it. All these things I thought were great, then one day I woke up with My elbows the size of my knee, my blood pressure so high I could push the space shuttle into orbit and My joints killing me so much it took Me 45 minute to get going in the morning. I did this to Myself, like we all have. Then It Happened, I was at the gym and a little spark plug of girl from My past walked back into My life. It was Marnie Kent. We talked for a bit and I asked for her card and I saw the look in her eye, you know the one she gets, The “I have a new  project, a person that needs my help to help themselves” look.

On April 26th 2009 I started to rethink my workout style and eating style and my lifestyle. Marnie was very straight forward and told Me what she expected of Me and this was up to Me to do this, but She would be there for Me every step of the way. She DIDN’T lie. The workouts were new and boring to Me; I thought, heck I lift 500 lbs not these 20 lb dumbbells. I eat steak and fried chicken and all good stuff. You know the stuff that tastes real good, but at the same time is slowly putting railroad spikes into our caskets. But I kept My word to Marnie because She kept her word to Me. Egg whites replaces donuts, Cottage Cheese replaced TV dinners, fresh fruits and vegetable took over for their sodium filled canned versions, Chicken got grilled and not fried. You understand, it sounds boring and bland, I know but it’s not. It’s just Our stubborn selves wanting easy, not what’s good.

My strength was going away and I was mad, My power was leaving Me. I was furious with Marnie. She was like Delilah to My Sampson. I was so blind with narrow mindedness to realize that I was losing strength because I was starting to lose weight and find Me. I was getting healthy, the weight was coming off of Me because of hard work and dedication of Me and the motivation and drive of Marnie. 335 became 300, then 275, then 250. You get the point. As pull into the station on the first year of My journey I’m at 210 lbs. That’s 125 lbs lost. This is because of 3 things, good food, better training and a Great Friend. And like Marnie promised My strength came back a little at a time and the weight stayed off.

To Everyone that reads this, it doesn’t matter if you want to tone up and lose 10-15 lbs or if you want or need to lose as much as me. This program WORKS, if YOU follow it!! Show up, work hard, eat right and Listen to Marnie!! She won’t do you wrong. That Girl LEGITIMATELY cares for EVERY person that walks through her door, even the hard headed, big mouthed know-it-all’s. Keep your food journal, be truthful, We All have hiccups along the way, it’s alright. It’s hard at first, but it’s worth every drop of sweat, every roll of a tear and Every ounce of a pound.

After seeing a picture last summer, I realized that I did not look as good as I thought I did.  My wife and I decided to start working out and lose those pounds we had been trying to lose.  I needed a place that could work around my schedule and gave me both a workout and a food program.  I was amazed at how much bad food I was eating even though I thought I was avoiding the right stuff.  Having someone (actually 2 people) hold me accountable made the difference in losing some pounds and making a life change.  Thanks Marnie!

When I joined Your Training Domain I was overweight and had just received lab results with a report of high cholesterol, increased blood sugar count, and low functioning thyroid.  I was already exercising but obviously it wasn't doing much good.  I saw a friend who looked great and she told me about Marnie's place and said I should give it a try.  Well, within four months I had lost 30 pounds and got normal lab readings!!  I have improved my strength and balance along with feeling so much better physically and emotionally.  I am pleased to recommend Your Training Domain for your health and appearance!!

Before I started at the Training Domain, I was in the worst shape I had ever been.  Due to a period of physical inactivity combined with a diet consisting almost exclusively of fast food, I had become a fat, unhealthy 34 year-old.  I tried to work out on my own but had little success.  During the previous year, I set my alarm clock for 6am with the good intentions exercising before I went into work each morning, and without fail I promptly hit the snooze button for the next hour.  I always promised myself that I would start "tomorrow".  I became socially withdrawn, constantly tired, and seemed to catch every cold and flu virus that hit the office.  Finally, in July '08 I decided I needed help to get back into a reasonable state of health.  On the recommendation of a friend, I went to see Marnie at the Training Domain.  It turned out to be the best decision I have made in the last several years. 

On my first visit, Marnie instructed me on the proper foods to eat, had me start keeping a log of my meals, and scheduled me for three weekly training sessions.  Marnie stressed that a proper diet worked hand in hand with training.  Fast food was replaced by vegetables and lean protein.  At first, I thought I would be hungry, but then I realized that the overall quantity of food I was eating wasn't being decreased, I was just eating things with an actual positive nutritional value for a change.  At each workout session, the trainers checked my log and informed me of any poor food choices I might have made and made suggestions for healthier alternatives.  Training itself was tough going at first, but the trainers were supportive and helpful.  Within a month I was starting to feel and look noticeably better.  As the months passed, proper exercise and diet became habit.  I have been at it for over 16 months now and am the strongest I have ever been.  

Training isn't a quick fix.  Just signing up to workout with Marnie and her staff won't miraculously make inches drop away.  That still requires hard work, dedication, and self-control.....  However, the Training Domain does provide all the tools to make you successful:  Structure & Accountability,  Support & Encouragement.   On my own, without those 4 key elements, I floundered.  With them, I thrive.

I have always been happy go lucky, now I am 70 pounds lighter and happy go lucky.
The voyage was not always easy, but with the help of my trainer, Dan, the support of Marnie and the other "victims",I am still on the right path.  And it does get easier, once you get the hang of sticking to your foods, and exercising. It is not rocket science, eat better, move more... but for me the accountability, the food journal, and obviously, the weighing every week, is the road to success. I am proud of myself, but really thankful to the whole team at Training Domain.

I just celebrated my 1 year Anniversay with Marnie and the Training Domain.  I have always done some type of exercise but had not been getting the results that I wanted.  At first, I wasn't sure I could follow the eating plan but it is actually not hard at all.  I am so grateful to Marnie for her instruction and encouragement.  I have only missed about 4 workout sessions in this year.  I look foward to my workout time and have reached my goal and have maintaned it.  It is not always easy but it is always rewarding!  Thanks Marnie!

I was a little worried about what the eating plan was gonna be like but it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would and now i can't eat bad without feeling sick. The workouts are hard but you feel good afterwards. For those of you who are concerned about dieting,  don't worry about it there is an acceptable substitute for almost all good foods and if you didn't know it was different then you would have no idea it isn't the real deal. I've lost 50 something pounds now and I owe it to The Training Domain.

Deciding to work out at Training Domain was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. Over the last few years I had really let myself go.  The extra weight brought with it health problems, sleep issues, and of course, I was unhappy with the way I looked.    I have learned from Marnie the right things to eat and how to get a great workout.  I needed an accountability partner, and Marnie is the BEST at that! She knows when to be encouraging, and when to be tough.  I am SO grateful to Marnie and her WONDERFUL STAFF!!  Best of all, that “skinny” pair of jeans that were in the back of my closet are now TOO BIG!! I have been working out for several years and always thought that the more you work out the better. I would go to bed by 8:30 p.m. and be up between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. I would work out a few hours and then go to the gym for an hour. I mostly did cardio with some weight training. I would weigh myself several times a day and base what I ate on the number of the scale. There were days I didn't eat anything. I still could not manage to lose any weight. If anything I gained, which just led me to exercise more. Then I joined up with Marnie in August of 2008 and there were a lot of changes made. I do more weight training, less cardio and I eat more. I was afraid I'd gain more with eating five small meals a day but I was so wrong. Everything Marnie said was coming true and I'm not weighing myself near as much. Everyone that works there is so supportive and understanding that I enjoy working out more. I have lost the weight I wanted and hoping to maintain that. I'm very happy working out there and would recommend it to anyone.

For several years, I have tried to lose weight, exercise, and be healthy.  Sometimes I was successful, and sometimes I wasn’t.  If I lost weight, though, I gained it back.  The problem was I had a hard time motivating myself.  Despite my best intentions, I could always find an excuse to skip the exercise or to cheat on my diets.  Since coming to Training Domain, I have become motivated to change and live a healthy life because I’m not doing it alone.  I have support and encouragement, and I’m being accountable for the decisions I make.  I have lost weight, improved my cholesterol, and have a lot more energy.  It is not because I am forcing myself to diet and exercise.  It is because I am choosing to live a healthy lifestyle.  I continue to go to Training Domain, even though I lost weight, because I want to maintain my healthy way of life.  It is the best investment I can make—to take care of myself.

Before coming to the Training Domain, I was running 20 miles a week and counting every calorie. I couldn't understand why the scale would not budge, and just resigned to the fact I had turned 30 and that was why I wasn't losing weight. I had heard about the Training Domain from a couple of co-workers, and frustrated by my pant size, I decided to give it a try. That was the BEST decision I have made in my life! My workouts at the Training Domain are AWESOME, and I look forward to each day I come in. My experience with Marnie and Anna at Training Domain has been phenomenal.  After seeing the results of people that had worked with Marnie, I was anxious to begin.  So in June 2008 I began training at the Domain in preparation for a wedding.  The wedding has come and gone and I am still at the gym.  After training with Marnie and Anna I experienced results that I had never received anywhere else.  It took a lot of commitment, but in the end it was worth every drop of sweat and every walking lunge!  I can’t thank them enough for opening my eyes to a new and healthy lifestyle.  With only being 19 years old, I have my whole life ahead of me, and I am so glad that I chose to have Marnie and the Training Domain help me start it off healthy and in shape.  I have found that nothing is impossible.  Thanks a million!  “For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me strength I need”  Phil 4:13

I have been going to the Training Domain since April of 2008. My wife Marla started in Feb. of 2008 and as I watched the progress that she was making it inspired me to want to do it also. I had been exercising at a local gym for about three years with not much change. I always thought I was doing ok with cardio and lifting some weights. Not until I started working out at Domain did I realize how out of shape I was. It didn’t take long for me to feel and see a difference in me. I feel like I am in the best shape of my entire life. I owe it all to the training that Marnie and girls have given. They have shown me how to eat right and how to workout effectively. All I had to do was listen and do it. It is hard work but with their inspiration and encouragement it is all worth it. I can’t wait to get to the gym on my workout days. I knew I was out of shape and not eating healthy.  I decided I needed to join a gym, but I was intimidated by the big chain gyms.  I wanted to join a gym, but I also needed someone to hold me accountable for my workouts.  So after putting off joining a gym, I read an ad for the Training Domain.

I called and set up a consultation.  I met with Marnie, and she explained to me what to expect.  She showed me what foods I should eat and why I should eat them.  I started eating what I supposed to, and went for my first session a few days later.  I ate what Marnie told me to and I went to the gym three times a week for six weeks.  I lost fifteen pounds in the first week, and continued to lose another nine. 

The atmosphere at the Training Domain was exactly what I was looking for.  The Training Domain is not intimidating.  The trainers hold you accountable for your workouts, and what you eat.  Working out at the Training Domain is educational and motivating. 

I continue to go to the Training Domain three times a week, and eat the right way.  Anna and Marnie still check my food journal to make sure I am not slipping back into old eating habits.  I enjoy charting my progress in gym, and can’t wait to get back in there for my next workout.  Marnie and the Training Domain gave me that jumpstart I needed to get back into an active, and healthier, lifestyle.

I had lost my mojo and saw no muscles insight.  I was struggling to lose the last 20 pounds from having my fourth baby (he was 21 months old).  I was out of excuses and needed some accountability and knowledge. My experience with Marnie Kent at Training Domain has been awesome.  For some time, I had been hearing about Domain and seeing the results on people I know.  I was amazed.  But I heard that it was hard; you had to go several times a week and work, work, work.  Even though my weight was out of control, I knew that the Domain was not for me.  I was too old to do that!  My eventual decision "just to talk" to Marnie was a good one.  She assured me that I was not too old, we would work gradually, and I would lose weight!  Now, several months later, I have my weight under control,  I am stronger than I ever thought I could be, and have an overall wonderful feeling of wellness.  The workouts aren't nearly as strenuous as before; I actually look forward to each session!  Here is my added bonus:  Marnie is a former student, so I have watched her grow over the years.  I am proud to be a friend now and just not an old teacher!  Add Marnie's spiritual friendship to the mix, and Training Domain is the perfect place for me.

I was always a thin person and never worried about my weight, but all that changed when I reached the age of 45-50.  I slowly started packing on the pounds a few at time and it seemed every time I went shopping for clothes I had to buy a bigger size and hated the way I looked.  The styles I preferred did not look good on a woman with a fat stomach.  Mentally I was not happy with myself or my lack of discipline to get this weight off.  I kept grumbling about it, made numerous resolutions to start working on it, and kept on gaining weight.  It seemed every time I would try to watch what I ate, I would get hungrier and end up eating more of what I didn’t need.  Now I’m 30+ pounds overweight and really unhappy with the way I look.

I heard about Marnie Kent and what a great motivator she was.  A friend and I decided to do something about our weight and made appointments.  At first I just thought it was just to work out.  We had our consultation and Marnie gave me my foods and what she wanted me to do.   I was less than excited about this eating plan because I knew I had very little self control when it comes to food.  My weakness is baked goods of any kind and I wasn’t too sure how this was going to work.

But I decided to give it a try since I was so unhappy with my body.  The first couple of weeks were a little tough with the eating program, but I was determined to give it a while to see how it worked.  I noticed that the times I would get the urge to eat something that I shouldn’t were usually about the same time I was supposed to eat on the program.  I would eat what I should and the craving disappeared every time!

The workouts seemed brutal at first, but the results were worth every drop of sweat.  Marnie explained why she had me do what I did and demanded 100% effort (sometimes 110%).  But each time I walked out of the gym feeling like I was close to complete collapse, I also felt better about myself and what I was accomplishing.  Mentally I was realizing that my efforts were paying off and I was starting to look better and better.  Marnie told me that after a while the sweets wouldn’t taste that good and SURPRISINGLY again she was right.  She stressed that if we got off track with our foods to just get right back on at the next meal.  I have really practiced this.  It has kept me from getting discouraged and give up when I ate something I shouldn’t have, and my weight has steadily continued to come down.

The results have been fantastic (and I’m not done yet).  Everyone has noticed and this just encourages me more.  Marnie’s program works…but it takes two people.  She can’t do it without your participation as well.  She wants to help you get the health and body you want and is very focused on your individual needs.  I have had a trainer in the past that I felt was just giving me exercises to do to get his money.  I felt no personal connection or concern on his part that I achieve my best.  Marnie cares, motivates and develops the program for you…so you can see your goals come true!

An additional benefit was that my husband said he would support me and eat the foods I was eating.  Guess what?  He has lost over 35 pounds without working out, which is more than I have lost, but I look better!!!  My energy level is way up and my mental attitude is even better.  Thank you Marnie!

Last year I was struggling, knowing I needed to do something, but not sure what.  I found out about Marnie through another one of her success stories.  Her plan is straightforward and something I could make a part of my life.  I’m not sure I expected that I really could speed up my metabolism and actually have muscle definition.  But through weight training and proper eating, I have done that.  Marnie has been such an encouragement to me.  She believes in me, even when I haven’t believed in myself.  Now my family has gotten on board and with her help, we have changed our lives.

My wife started working with Marnie in January of 2006.  I was amazed as I saw her working with weights and doing things that I had never done before, and she was being successful.  I watched Karen follow Marnie's food plan for over a year.  Since we were both eating differently, I began to lose weight, but I knew that I could never really follow the plan.  Plus, I didn't have time to go to the gym three days a week.

In May of 2007, I finally decided to do it.  I am so glad I did.  Marnie has inspired me to do things that I never thought possible.  At the start, I was barely able lift the bar for three sets.  Now, I am lifting more than my own weight and I've never felt better!  I had never worked out before - especially weight training - but now I cannot imagine not working with Marnie.  I plan my week around my scheduled time with Marnie.  I plan my meals in advance so I can be successful.  I even gave up Mountain Dew after almost 35 years.

Our family has gone through several crises since early 2006.  I am certain that God brought Marnie into our lives to help see us through these difficult times.  Because of Marnie's encouragement, we are stronger and healthier than we've ever been.

We had taken Sam to the doctor for his 9th grade physical and he had suggested that we get Sam on some type of a weight loss or workout program.  So, we contacted Marnie.  She has succeeded in getting Sam’s weight down and helping him to become a much stronger person.  She makes it fun and he loves it.  He has even recruited a friend who goes with him.  He has a lot more confidence in himself and his appearance.  We look forward to many more changes in the future.

When I first consulted with Marnie in March 2007, my intent was to build strength in my upper and lower extremities.  I had worked with weights before and I wanted to replace my “flab” with muscle.  However, I have received more than just weight training techniques from Marnie…I have learned how to choose my foods more wisely and to eat smaller meals.  In fact, through my new way of eating and exercise program, my cholesterol had decreased and I have been able to stop taking my Lipitor (for high cholesterol) as well as stopping another medication.  My physician was truly impressed with my weight loss and exercise program and gave me a “high five”.  I have lost 29 pounds, built muscle and feel better about myself both physically and mentally.

Marnie has been my personal trainer since May of 2007. Tired of counting points, calories, weighing food, buying pre-packaged "special" foods, etc - I wanted an approach to food choices that would be a new way of life for me. I wanted to achieve my weight goal without fear of gaining it back. And, I wanted a personalized weight training program.

After my initial consultation, I saw how doable it could and would be for me to achieve my goal.  A very simple, uncomplicated approach to eating was the basis for my weight loss and the accountability the key to the continued loss and self-discipline. The 1-on-1 weight training program took care of the rest.

Day by day, week by week, month by month under Marnie's direction she helped enable me to chip away at the layers of fat to reveal the underlying muscle(s) I never believed were there and could finally be seen. My initial goal was to loose the belly fat and just gain an overall tone to my body. I've achieved that and more. I know that I'm in better shape now at 52 than I was at 42 ~ which secretly was another personal goal. I also wanted to wear a 2pc swimsuit on my trip to Jamaica this past February, and I did.  Just goes to show that it’s never too late to get in shape!

In Marnie I have not only gained a personal trainer, accountability partner, counselor and spiritual advisor ~ I gained "a new attitude" and the best gift of all...a friend. Marnie encouraged me in a way no one has ever encouraged me. She was determined FOR me. Working with Marnie has changed my life. It’s been a year now and I’ve kept up with the program and not looked back.  I have now developed lifelong habits of disciplined eating and working out.  We only have one body on this earth and I want to take care of it as best I can. When I would look in the mirror, what I saw did not match up with what I thought I should look like. I had heard about “this diet” or “that eating plan” and didn’t know what to do…there are so many different plans and mixed messages out there. However, I knew I had to do something!

I sat down with Marnie. Her program is straight forward and seemed like one I could handle. Marnie has taught me to eat so my body can work efficiently. The muscle building work outs have increased my core strength and balance. These are benefits that profoundly affect my life. Having Marnie to encourage me and give me straight forward advice has been invaluable. My energy level has increased. I feel ready to take on challenges. Now when I look in the mirror I am happy with what I see!!!

Marnie has been my personal trainer since the summer of 2006.  However, she has been more like a personal coach for my life.  She has guided me through tough times and challenged me to be my best.  She's prayed for me and held me accountable for my progress.

Marnie has helped me tremendously with my training.  I have a problem with the discs in my neck and she has developed a workout plan which maximizes my workouts while protecting my neck.

When I met Marnie, I had been dealing with an under active thyroid for over 5 years.  Doctors had told me I would never lose the weight, but that I needed to get the weight off and start exercising.  Marnie told me she could help.  I admit that I went in for my consultation a complete skeptic...I mean how could she help me when the doctors couldn't.  That was in September of 2006.  I have lost over 65 pounds working with Marnie.  It has not only been a complete body makeover for me, but also a complete mental and emotional makeover for me too!  Marnie believed in me when no one else did (and that included me)!  I am so grateful that God led me to her!  Not only did I have an awesome trainer, but I now have a great friend and lifting partner.  Thanks Marnie

In December of 2005 I was weak, I had chronic back pain and I was on medication for cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension.  I could not take care of my two very young grandchildren the way I wanted.  I was 95 pounds heavier than I am now.

When I began working with Marnie, I had very little self-confidence.  I trusted her, continuing to work with her three times a week.  Over time, I began to THINK differently about myself, food and exercise.  It wasn’t easy, but I felt so good about myself and the results I was seeing, that I kept coming week after week, month after month.

Marnie understands that life can be difficult, but she helps keep me focused on good health!  I’ve faced some of life’s big challenges while working with Marnie.  Even when I felt like giving up, she did not give up on me.  Marnie has kept me feeling strong, encouraged and motivated.

Without good health, I had little energy to give to others.  I am now strong and healthy.  My meds have been cut in half or eliminated entirely!  My doctor is ecstatic!   God is so good and Marnie is a true blessing!
